Supply Chain Management of the SBU Chemicals, consisting of 150 employees worldwide, is responsible for the planning, order management, sourcing & contracting and improvement of the chemicals Supply chain.
The SBU Chemicals aims to be the preferred supplier for its customers. An Integral part of that is a recognized leadership within the Industry regarding environment, health and safety. That applies not only to manufacturing, but also to logistics and planning processes carried out by or on behalf of SABIC.
Functie omschrijving
In order to strengthen SABICs Chemicals Supply Chain Management department, we are looking for an Functional Manager / Process Planning Expert who will be responsible for the contribution to maximizing the business revenues against minimal costs and working capital by further developing the planning and scheduling optimization concepts for SCP Chemicals.
Tasks & responsibilities
You will be responsible for translating new or changed business requirements into functional design and system integration specifications and will act therefore as Functional Manager for the AspenTech applications.
You will act as planning and scheduling domain expert on a knowledge and experience leel beyond that of key users.
You will maintain complex models on detailed level and keeping them in sink with plant developments and constraints.
You need to introduce multisite optimization and need to balance short term operational issues with longer term planning/projects.
Further building the capability on the newly designed planning framework of AspenTech and SAP is essential as well. Evaluation of new feedstocks and planning (tools) and being expert for the tactical team are important. The same goes for being able to function as consultant in complex planning issues.
To be successful in this role you need to work with different cultures and changing business requirements and need to convince others of new ways of working related to the outcome of the optimization.
Planning Support for the Global SCM organization with optimizing the flows in the global network are key.
In order to accomplish the above mentioned tasks, you will hierarchically lead an Application Manager AspenTech and a Process Planning Analyst.
You will report to the Manager Supply Chain Planning.
Kandidaat profiel
Candidate profile
Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (strongly preferred), Economics / Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
Additional preference: APICS certified.
Relevant working experience in a SCM-, Manufacturing- or Industrial (petrochemical) environment.
In-depth knowledge of modelling; PIMS and AOS.
Knowledge of cracker and aromatics manufacturing processes.
Affinity with the Supply Chain Planning process; the Polymer & Chemicals Business and Sales & Marketing.
The ideal candidate needs to be a firm personality with strong presentation and communication skills. A decision maker who is able to build business relationships. He or she should be a change facilitator who is driven by success and aiming for continuous improvement.
